The Storm, Part One We were not expecting rain. They said it would be bright and sunny. Well, they were wrong. The sky above was blue. It was warm and there was almost no wind. We had the sails out full. We were heading toward Treasure Cove. Suddenly, Joe spotted something. There is a storm coming! Storm? How could there be a storm? I looked where he was pointing. There was a thin black line on the horizon. Quick! Get the sails, I yelled. I knew this type of storm. It was deadly. It could come very, very quickly. From a beautiful, windless day it could come. Rains and winds# would suddenly lash at your boat. They would catch any open sail. They could flip a boat over,# quick as a flash. Sure enough, in no time at all,# the storm was upon us. The sky was a heavy black. The rain came down in torrents. The wind roared in our ears. The waves rose around us.
